Welcome: Brant Haenel

Brant

Modern Climate is proud to announce Brant Haenel has recently joined our team as Executive Vice President, Client Services. Brant comes to us from Carmichael Lynch, where he was also an Account Director.

"Now is the time of the individual revolution—connection at the mass level can no longer be excused as the starting point. Where other agencies can struggle with this notion, I believe Modern Climate is uniquely positioned to foster relevant consumer connections that ultimately drive business. I’m really excited to join this team." – Brant Haenel

Leading the Client Services group at Modern Climate, Brant continues his 15+ year career and quest to foster genuine customer connection to drive business results.

Blurring the definition of ‘traditional account guy,’ Brant has led watershed digital projects and developed CRM foundations for notable national accounts.

Most recently Brant was Account Director at Carmichael Lynch setting the strategic foundation for Subaru of America, helping the brand achieve MediaPost’s Automotive Marketer of the Year and nearly doubling market share in just over one year. Prior to his work with Subaru, Brant led the Porsche Cars of North America business at Carmichael Lynch and the BMW interactive business at Fallon, most notably bmwusa.com and bmwfilms.com.

Other brand experience includes: Porsche Financial Services, BMW Financial Services, BMW Motorcycles, Buell Motorcycles, Firstar Bank, Nunn-Bush, Amity/Rolfs, National Marine Manufacturer’s Association, and The Milwaukee Ballet.

Augmented Reality

We admit it. We're lovin' this crazy, augmented reality madness. It started when an opportunity presented itself during our planning for our entry for Circus Mashimus. The results was Popscopic, which not only won the grand prize of the contest, but brought some positive attention to Modern Climate. Some of the folks at Best Buy contacted us and asked if we would put together some ideas about how they could use augmented reality on the cover of their weekly newspaper insert. We provided a variety of options and got to work building Best Buy in 3D. The finished piece, which promoted a new laptop, not only received a ton of press but it also exceeded client expectations. We have since created a second experience promoting another product. Our latest adventures in augmented reality have been in the land of mobile applications. Stay tuned to learn more about that in the near future.

Fly

Sometimes flying can leave you feeling detached from the rest of the world. We placed an ad in the Delta Fly magazine which pointed people to an app on our website. The app pulls the latest trends from Twitter and Google and uses those terms to search for new content posted within the last three hours. The results are the top ten trending topics, or as we call it, Fly.
